Meet owner and lead optometrist of Refocus Modern Eyecare, Dr. Teresa Lam. Although born in Los Angeles, California, Dr. Lam spent most of her life growing up in Tucson, Arizona. She attended The University of Arizona (Bear Down!) where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Engineering with a minor in mathematics. Upon graduation, Dr. Lam pursued Optometry at Southern California College of Optometry for her doctorate. After graduating, Dr. Lam came home to practice optometry in Arizona.
Dr. Lam loves working working with patients of all ages and is passionate about community service. She has used her business to provide free glasses to children in need as well as served as far as Africa to provide care to those in need.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, attending Phoenix Suns games, and trying out new places to eat. Dr. Lam has two wonderful dogs, Spartacus and Mila!

Dr. Lisa Parkins graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She started practicing optometry in Florida after graduating from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry with Summa Cum Laude honors. Dr. Parkins moved to Arizona in 2022 and has since provided the Chandler area with primary eye care services.
Outside of work, Dr. Parkins enjoys cooking, skiing, and travel.
