Vision loss can be detrimental to a person’s independence and wellbeing. Many patients have been deemed “blind” from macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, optic nerve disease, stroke, brain injury and other forms of visual impairment still have partial sight. Low vision is the loss of sight that is NOT correctable with prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses, or surgery. Our low vision services can help patients maximize their sight for optimal function by prescribing glasses with special lenses or tints, magnifiers, telescopes, or other devices to help improve vision function for reading, watching television, driving and other daily tasks.
At Refocus Modern Eyecare, we want to improve the quality of life for those who are visually impaired. We have also developed innovative programs in the rehabilitation of patients with significant vision loss through technological advances which include bioptic driving.
